Very good news! The Welding Merit Badge is to be released on 2/24/2012. The MB pamphlet should start arriving in the Scout Shops between 2/15 and 2/24. If you want to see the requirements now, go to WWW.scouting.org?meritbadges. Our counselor for the Welding MB is Dwight Grayson, 972-642-2504. Don’t forget, two other merit badges, Kayaking and Search and Rescue are now scheduled for release at the end of May, beginning of June. Keep your eyes open!
I have a prospect for the Plant Science MB, but we are still in need of District Counselors for the following merit badges. They are:
- Fingerprinting
- Oceanography
- Plant Science
- Sculpture
- Small Boat Sailing
If you have someone in your unit that can counsel one of these badges, please have them fill out the required forms and get them to me. If they are already a MB Counselor, have them call me.
