2019 Registration & 2018 Availability

Interested in coming to Philmont in 2019? Registration for summer crews begins October 25th. In November, the Lottery determines trek date assignments (learn more about the Philmont Lottery system). We strongly recommend that units register for the lottery to have the best chance of receiving their desired trek date, and to have adequate time to prepare for their trek.

It's not too late to come back to Philmont next summer!

Occasionally, there are vacant slots for upcoming summer treks (because crews drop out, etc.). These slots provide an opportunity for crews to register less than 18 months before their trek, understanding that they must operate on an accelerated schedule to fully prepare for their trek.

Slots are still available for 2018 treks. If you're interested in a 2018 trek, stay up to date by bookmarking our Available Slots page. Slot availability updates automatically and provides the most accurate data.

The Philmont Advisor Skills School (PASS) and Philmont Advisor Workshop (PAW) programs are designed to better prepare adult advisors to confidently lead their crew in preparing for a Philmont trek. There are three different types of advisor training programs to choose from:
  • PSR-PASS (a full weekend of training at Philmont)
  • Field-PASS (an eight-hour weekend session in a city near you)
  • PAW (a two-hour weeknight session in a city near you)

Check out our PASS map to attend a Field-PASS program near you or register for one of the PSR-PASS programs this fall.

The Tooth of Time Traders is open year-round,
