A follow up to the Lockheed Martin service hours announcement.

This contribution counts as part of the scouter's Unit FOS goal, but it is not in payment of their own personal pledge.

Lockheed Employee Service Grants:
employees have until Jan. 31 to log their hours. From there they have the better part of 2017 to request where their $250 is directed.

This is an internal link that explains the process for our employees. https://communications.lmaero.lmco.com/community/communityservice/index.cfm

Volunteer hours can be logged through two locations from the “insideLMinternal website (https://insidelm.external.lmco.com/) – see the first graphic below:

  • At the top of the "insideLM" webpage, hover your cursor over "COMMUNITIES AND PEOPLE" and then click on the "LOG VOLUNTEER HOURS" under "VOLUNTEER"
– or –

  • For those of us within the Aeronautics business area, from the middle of the “insideLM” webpage where it says "ENGAGE WITH AERONAUTICS", click on the icon that says "LOG YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS by Jan 31".

2017 Advancement Notice from LHC

Lockheed Martin Volunteers

Lockheed Martin provides a community grant to the charitable organization of an employee’s choice if that employee volunteers 250 hours in the year. They must go on line to the LM website and put Longhorn Council as the organization they volunteer for.  It is a great way.  Typically we have lots of volunteers that are volunteers in our units in Trinity Trails, Silver Star, Brazos Valley and now, Mustang.

Other organizations that also do volunteer incentive grants are Exxon Mobile/ XTO, Verizon.  Many others will match the dollar amounts donated by employees, but this is just for volunteering their time.
