Last Minute Christmas Gift- Supporting Scouting.

Remember what it was like to be a Scout? The adventures, challenges, friends, and fun? Even if you weren’t a Scout, you know what they stand for: character, confidence, leadership, and great memories.

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations, and provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

Most Scouts’ day-to-day experiences with Scouting come through their individual packs, troops, teams, crews, and ships. These units are overseen by nearly 300 local councils, which receive an annual charter from the National Council.

Order of the Arrow December Update

Arrowmen and leaders,

I just wanted to tell everyone who wasn't able to attend that the December chapter meeting and Christmas party was a lot of fun, and I'd like to thank those who attended. The attendance was a little low, but I think that those of us who attended had a good time.

The 2012 Vigil elections will be held on January 28, 2012. I have attached a list of all eligible Talahi Arrowmen who are eligible for election to the Vigil Honor, as well as the Vigil nomination form. Please review the attached list and submit an application for Arrowmen you feel may warrant the honor of election to the OA's highest honor. Once you have completed the form you may email it to our Lodge Adviser, Mike Murray at artty62@gmail.com. The deadline to submit a nomination is January 13, 2012.

I've also attached a calendar for 2012 events. Please bear in mind that dates and events are always subject to change.

I would like to wish all of our Arrowmen and leaders a safe and Merry Christmas and a joyous holiday season.

Also please check your calendars to help with Elections and Schedule Elections.

Thank you.

Yours in Brotherhood,

Gary Faletti
