Important Merit Badge Councilor Information

To all current Merit Badge Counselors who haven’t re-certified:

The last date for re-certification is midnight on Friday, May 3^rd, one week away.  So, if you haven’t responded to my email of March 30^th, stop procrastinating and get it done.  Just over half of those on the 2012 Counselor List have responded, and some of those owe me an updated certificate for their Youth Protection Training, so the 2013 Counselor List will be fairly small if I don’t hear from a lot of you quickly.  Scoutmasters, you better check your counselors!  Don’t let those Scouts down who rely on you for their merit badges and advancement.

If a boy needs financial assistance for Camp, please complete the Campership Form, get ALL required signatures, attach 50% of Camp Fee ($42.00) and return to Traci McGraw (817-312-9163) or Kelsey Clark (817-231-8529). This Form must be completely filled outand have ALL required signatures to be considered for a Campership.

We must have a registration form, signed contract and Health Form for each person attending camp. ALL Adults please attach a copy of your BSA Membership card and your Youth Protection Training card.

Trainers Edge Course April 27th

Volunteer Request for the National Meeting May 18-26th

The Longhorn Council is hosting this year's national BSA meeting at the Gaylord May 20-24.  We are in need of volunteers to help out with various areas, especially in registration.   Whether you  can give a couple of hours or all day, your help would be greatly appreciated.  Please take a look at the attached spreadsheet and let me know if you can help out on any of those days.  If you would like to help out I will need a mobile number and email.  Use the tabs at the bottom of the attached spread sheet to review each days staff assignments. The LHC chair for each event is listed in red at the top of each event.
