This is a quick follow up to the email you received last Friday. As you know, PantegoFEST will be here before we know it! Since the original email went out, we have received some new volunteer submissions via the website but we are still very short of the number of volunteers needed.
Please take a moment to fill out the volunteer form and please encourage your friends, family, and neighbors to do the same! You can volunteer online by going to http://www.townofpantego.com/forms.aspx?FID=75 We greatly appreciate everyone's help in making this event a huge success.
Also, we will have the first of two volunteer trainings at Town Hall tomorrow night, Thursday, September 27 at 7:00 p.m.. The second training session will be Saturday morning, September 29 at 9:00 a.m. Please come to one of the two trainings to learn more about the festival and what each job entails.

Good afternoon!
Today marks the ONE-week prior point for PantegoFEST 2012, our community's opportunity to shine by coming together and showing the Metroplex what makes Pantego the best community to live, work and play in. PantegoFEST will be the culmination of months of planning made possible by a host of dedicated volunteers from the various businesses and civic organizations here in Town and by the members of the boards listed above.
Today marks the ONE-week prior point for PantegoFEST 2012, our community's opportunity to shine by coming together and showing the Metroplex what makes Pantego the best community to live, work and play in. PantegoFEST will be the culmination of months of planning made possible by a host of dedicated volunteers from the various businesses and civic organizations here in Town and by the members of the boards listed above.
Now comes the time for executing the plan and that is where we need your help. From the Mayor all the way the part time crossing guard and everyone in between, we would sincerely welcome your help and support by being a volunteer for one to two shifts throughout the weekend. PantegoFEST will span a total of 36 hours, broken up into nine 4-hour shifts, over the three days and will require approximately 18-20 volunteers for each shift. Every Town employee is already planning on working each of the three days but even with that, we still need your support. Each volunteer will be given an "Event Staff" badge which is good for free admission for the entire weekend and so we highly encourage to invite your family members and neighbors to volunteer as well.
PantegoFEST will start Friday evening, October 5th from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. We will have shifts set up from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and from 8:00 pm to midnight.
On Saturday, the festival runs from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm but we'll have the one-mile fun run and 5k road race starting at 8:00 am. Four 4-hour shifts are set up starting at 8:00 am and ending at midnight.
On Sunday, the festival is from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and we'll have three shifts from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Whatever your interest or expertise, we have volunteer positions for you. We will need folks at our information booths, the entry gates, selling T-shirt, controlling VIP/Party tent access and then we'll also need some general marshal type positions walking around ensuring our festival goers are having a good time and answering general questions.

Training for all volunteer positions will be available this upcoming Thursday, September 27th at 7:00 pm here at Town Hall or on Saturday, September 29th at 9:00 am. If you are unable to attend training we anticipate being able to answer any questions by recommending all volunteers show up 15 minutes prior to their scheduled shift.
