Dinosaurs at the Camporee A Velociraptor and a T-Rex from Walking with Dinosaurs Jurassic Extreme in Houston will join us Saturday afternoon for a guest appearance starting at 1:30 PM. Please keep a safe distance and don't feed the dinosaurs! Chess Tournament There will be an open all-day walk-in chess tournament in the Mess tent. All are welcome. Players will each get 5 minutes to finish each game they play. Open from from 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and 1:00 PM to 4:45 PM. Sci-Fi Reenactors Please remind all youth attending: DO NOT TOUCH the expensive and easily damaged costumes worn by Star Wars and other Science Fiction Reenactors. Gorgeous weather expected for our Centennial Camporee. Saturday looks to be especially nice with the high in the upper 60's and sunny! So, complete your registration. Here is what we do know: Scouts 12 years and under (NCAA rules restrict age) get pre-game on-field activities, a patch, and a jersey. The opponent is West Virginia. The game is the day after Thanksgiving so this may be a fun family event. Not an "official" Longhorn Council event this year but we are working to have something in place for next season.
