Family Campout & Scouting Fun Day at Veterans Park
Join Arlington Parks and Recreation for a Family Fun Campout on Friday night and/or stay on Saturday to hang with the Boy Scouts and participate in family fun activities. (Or just come for the Boy Scout led Scouting Fun Day.)
These back-to-back events will take place in the great outdoors at Veterans Park. To join the camping fun, participants will need to pack tents and sleeping bags. The campout will include dinner, s'mores, pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treating, tent decorating contest, live entertainment and a pancake breakfast provided by local scouts.
When breakfast is done, participants can continue the fun and take part in family activities provided by the Boy Scouts. The schedule of events will include crafts, skill demonstrations and adventure activities. The Scouting Fun Day is free and open to participants of every age.
- Dates: Friday, October 14, 4pm & Saturday, October 15, 1pm
- Location: Veterans Park – 3600 W Arkansas Ln. 76016
- Camping cost: $10 per camper; children under 2 are FREE
- Scouting Fun Day cost: FREE
