Temporary On-Line Registration Problem

Subject: Online Registration

Good morning all,

I just wanted to bring to your attention that there is an ongoing problem with the online registration system. We have had quite a few applications this past week that have auto filled the parents name in place of the youth name. This is a nationwide problem. It is affecting how the profile is brought over to Scoutbook. It is also placing Lions in grade 14. In some cases, it is a two-day process for me to change the name on the profile before it shows up correctly on their roster. In other cases, the youth is not showing up at all.

Some of our volunteers are getting upset over this, rightfully so.

Please assure our volunteers that National is aware of the problem and is working on it. Everyone is asking for patience and understanding.

Thank you.

Service Hour opportunity for Scouts and Units

From: Kim Deisher <the.deisher@verizon.net>

Message Body:

I am serving as the volunteer coordinator for the Northeast Tarrant County Walk to End Alzheimer's.  We have a need for some volunteers to help with set up and clean up at the event.

We will also have a World War I Mobile Museum on site that will require volunteers.  I was wondering if any of your scout troops would be interested in helping us out.

The Walk will be Saturday, October 12th at Church of the Cross in Grapevine, TX.

Set up will be the day before on Friday, October 11th from 3:00-6:00 PM.

Thank you!
