2017 Day camp registration is now open!!

Please join us for day camp June 12-16 at Trinity United Methodist Church

Day Camp is open to all Cub Scouts, including Kindergarten graduates, and will offer an unforgettable outdoor experience.

Scouts will have the opportunity to participate in activities such as: BB guns, Archery, Woodworking, Games, Nature Activities, Water Games, Themed Activities, Scout Skills, Meeting Special Guests, Service Projects and more!

Going to camp is a wonderful part of the Cub Scouting experience, and it helps your pack earn Scouting's Journey to Excellence and Summertime Pack Awards.

The Pack must provide leadership and adult supervision for their Cub Scouts attending Day Camp.

Lion Survey

Lion Councils: Help Spread the Word About Upcoming Lion Survey, Planned for May 11-25

Since its launch last fall, the Lion pilot program has grown from just four councils to more than 200. As we start laying the groundwork for recruiting and another year of activities, now is the perfect time to take a step back and see how we're doing.

Which is why, from May 11-25, we'll be sending out a survey to all registered parents and Lion Guides in participating councils.

Please help us spread the word in your council by letting parents know that it's coming. The more responses we receive, the better insights we'll be able to gain into our newest (and biggest ever) pilot program.

Change in Accident and Sickness Insurance Fees

Effective January 3, 2017, LHC will stop collecting the accident and sickness insurance fee for individual applicants, youth and adult.

 

Effective July 1, 2017, the  Accident and Sickness Insurance fee will be increased to $2.50 per person and collected only when a new unit registers or an existing unit recharters. The $2.50 fee applies to both youth and adults.

Last chance to visit the National Scout museum in Irving before it moves to Philmont

If you have never been to the National Scouting Museum in Las Colinas you had better hurry up and get over there because they are moving to Philmont Scout Reservation.  They plan to open in the new location in 2018 and will be winding down operations in Las Colinas this year. It’s really worth a trip over there.
