Medieval Times Merit Badge Workshop and Scout Show
MEDIEVAL TIMES MERIT BADGE PROGRAM
Dallas Texas; January 9, 2013- Knights have long since been revered for being brave, loyal, strong, chivalrous men and the protectors to their King. The Boy Scouts, with core values such as, respect, faith, responsibility and courage can be considered modern day knights in their own right.
Medieval Times has created a Merit Badge program where Boy Scouts can participate in an interactive workshop and gain the requirements for the coveted Animal Science Badge. The Workshop is hosted preshow by a certified Merit Badge Counselor and will cover the horse elements of the Animal Science Merit Badge. Though there may be some pre-requisites required to obtain the Merit Badge and not all requirements may be met, each Scout will receive an official Medieval Times Commemorative Scout Patch.
"We are excited to be able to provide Scouts and their families a special educational presentation that not only rewards the Scouts with a Merit Badge, but also offers a closer look at weaponry, falconry, knighthood and life during the Middle Ages. This new program will surely enhance the Scouts experience at Medieval Times"- said Jon Speier, Vice President/General Manager of the Medieval Times® castle in Dallas- "It is crucial to teach our youth the important core values in life and the Scouts have always done an excellent job of teaching and preparing our youth to lead and to live right".
Medieval Times® will be hosting two Scout Knights where Scouts can complete the Animal Science Badge workshop and join their families for the dinner and tournament at an exclusive discounted rate of $29.50. Animal Science Merit Badge Workshops will take place on March 24th and April 6th at 1 p.m. before the 2p.m. performances. Scouts must be pre-registered to participate in the Merit Badge workshop. The workshop is Free for Scouts with paid admission to the show.
This spring bring your Scout Troop to experience a Medieval Merit Badge workshop of the ages!
Reservations are required as space is limited. For inquiries, email dallas@medievaltimes.com.

2013 Camp Card
Longhorn Council, Boy Scouts of America
HOW THE CAMP CARD SALE WORKS:
· The Camp Card is designed to help units fund their way to 2013 Camp programs – this program is extra program for unit and should in no way influence their fall popcorn sales · This is a Risk Free Unit Sales project where all Scouts can earn their way to Camp, Philmont, other activities or simply support unit program or supplies needs
· Each Camp Card will sell for only $5.00 to the general public and will have multiple food, service and entertainment discounts for the customer to use throughout the year
· The participating unit will keep 50% commission for each Camp Card sold!
· Commissions from the sales are encouraged to be applied toward directly sending youth to Summer Camp programs, but they may be used as the unit committee sees fit
